*The speed sensor on the crankcase is also used for the rear wheel of the ABS system, so if the number of teeth on the sprocket is changed and the difference in rotation between the front and rear wheels is out of tolerance, an ABS error (warning lamp flashing) will occur. The speed correction function provided with the multimeter is an internal correction of the meter and does not prevent the ABS device (modulator) from generating an error. If you have replaced the sprocket in a car with ABS, you will need a device to correct the signal at the speed sensor (such as Doctor Speed by OpMid).
[Regarding the temperature indicated by the stock temperature sensor].
*The stock temperature sensor is located in the passage where oil heated in the cylinder head returns to the crankcase. It is characterized by its quick response to changes in the temperature of the oil flowing out of the cylinder head. However, please understand that the temperature is higher than that of the drain bolt type temperature sensor and that the fluctuation range is wider depending on the driving conditions. Due to the reading method, there is a possibility that the temperature may not be read correctly by the OPMID external full-computer.

When the engine is idling with no running wind and less oil circulation, or when running at high rpm and low speed on a steep uphill, the amount of heat generated will be greater than the cooling power, and the value of the stock temperature sensor will begin to rise immediately. Please note that the temperature continues to rise while the vehicle is stationary. The CT125 and DAX125 are 15 degrees higher than the Monkey 125 at high temperatures due to the fact that the total oil volume is about 20% less + frictional heat from the centrifugal clutch, etc.
[How the Calculated Gear Position Function Works]
*The reduction ratio is calculated from the ratio of the speed signal and ignition signal (= engine speed signal) and displayed as the number of gear steps.
One of the drawbacks of the mechanism is that the reduction ratio is not fixed when the clutch is disengaged or when the car is half-clutched, so it is not possible to determine the exact gear. Please note that the gear position of a new large vehicle is equipped with a switch sensor on the shift drum, and the linearity of the gear position is not as good as that of a new large vehicle.
CT125 and DAX125 have a primary centrifugal clutch for starting and a secondary multi-disc clutch for shifting, so they tend to be in a semi-clutch condition more often than the Monkey 125. Especially at low rpm, when the centrifugal clutch is disengaged or about to be disengaged, it is impossible to make a calculation. The calculation is performed every 0.1 second, so it is not real time, but the true response speed is shown when shifting up and down in the engine speed range where the centrifugal clutch does not slip. In terms of rpm, it is recommended to keep the rpm above 3000 rpm and not to go below 2500 rpm.
Since the Monkey 125 has only a manual clutch, the exact gear can be displayed as soon as the clutch lever is released. In addition, this product is equipped with an auxiliary function that fixes the displayed gear while the clutch is depressed to alleviate discomfort.
