It is a very good product. I think it is a very good product in terms of structure, finish, and texture. However, I think the mirror finish on the exterior is excessive considering the area of use. I'd rather have something like a Matte finish to make it less noticeable.
My personal hope is that I wanted the Handlebar Lock to stop at the limit of its usable position. We did some DIY work to shave the lock contact area and adjust the contact position so that we could use the Handlebar Lock. First of all, please take note that I purchased this item to install on my W650, not W800. So my following review is probably more useful for whoever rides W650 and plan to install this item on their W650. The reason why I purchase this fixed racing step model instead of the previous model designed for W650 is very simple, it\'s because this is the latest model and the shape looks more compact. Ok, here we go:1) The quality of this item is superb. It comes with complete set, instruction, grease, bolts, nuts, everything you need to replace the stock gear set.2) You have to purchase foot pegs in separate.3) The left-hand set is perfectly fit. It\'s very easy to install, and gear lever adjustment is very convenient and fine.4) For the right-hand set, well, it has 2 issues. Refer to the last and the second last photo:- Firstly, the position of the back stay is not perfectly fit to the frame. It\'s skewing for about 2mm. This causes the bolt unable to be tightened to the frame. So I managed to fix the issue by milling the bolt so that it can be slipped to the right position and thus can be tightened to the frame firmly.- The second issue is that the kick-start pedal is engaged with the foot peg as well as rear brake lever.5) Riding position, to me, it is very comfortable. It is perfect for cafe racer style.I would say, this item is probably one of the best racing step available for Kawasaki W650/W800. This item is for 39mm forks. These clip-on handle bars (or here calls separate handle bars) are made of stainless steel which is my favourite material as it means no rust and it\'s durable. Well, specifically to this item, that\'s the only great thing in my opinion. Why I say that, here we go.1) There is some issue about nuts and bolts (come with the package), when fitting-in the handle bars over the forks and tightening them:- The screwing line of bolt and nut will potentially be cracked and the bolt will potentially be bended. I guess, the bended causes the cracked.- Both upper and lower bolts seem too short thus it potentially causes the screwing line of bolt and nut getting cracked.I can only fix this issue by replacing new bolts and nuts, and extend the length of lower bolt for 5mm but upper one I cannot do anything better.2) Secondly, the bar length is (too?) short. The length I mentioned does not include the end-cork. I have no idea whether the designer tends to have the end-cork staying attached to the bar and being part of the bar to form the full length or not. I want to just remove the \plastic look\ end-corks and put handle bar stabilizers instead. Well, there is no issue about the installation at all but it can be seen from the picture that all hand switches, lever sets are very close to the forks which means that the handling will be slightly heavier than it should be.3) I don\'t quite like the plastic look end-corks. So I, for sure, will have to replace them with machined alloy bar-ends instead.BTW, the riding position is great for cafe racer look but because the bars are very low dropped so don\'t expect for comfort for long trips.I tried to take pictures to explain what I means. Hopefully my review would be useful.View Detail
There are 2 things I like this item. Firstly it is stainless steel made so meaning no rust and durable. Secondly the form of it, I like V shape or what the manufacturer calls Oakland Type.
