This was a customers bike that came in for a service and the owner wanted to add this power filter kit to it. Along with a new oil filter and oil change. Not really much goes wrong with these bikes, they really are built to last. Never fitted one of these to a Zoomer before so I had to find the right kit for this specific model. Finding the right part for this bike was straight forward and I used the help tools Webike provide and cross referenced with Kitaco parts catalogue to make sure it was the right one. The price for the power filter kit was excellent and better than I was expecting for this upgrade. I had a few other parts for other bikes in my order and got them all shipped using my favourite courier, EMS. The price for the shipping is really good and my order arrived in 7 days. The power filter kit arrived and was nicely packaged in the Kitaco packaging. This kit really does look the part but until fitting you never really know. Anyway, the quality from Kitaco is really spot on, very good indeed. The kit comprises of a nicely made foam filter assembly inner which is a denser composite foam and an outer less dense foam filter with Kitaco logo painted on it for a nice touch. There are also the entire brackets and fitment parts needed. These are all great quality and fit just as they should. The clamp is really smooth and no issues when tightening it up. I have not had too much experience with Kitaco as a brand, but what I have had, has been fantastic quality throughout. I know this will help the bike's performance a great deal as it was running pretty poor for my liking anyway. Fitted easily and pretty quickly. Very happy customer. Thanks Webike. About quality and texture - The uni filter kit from Kitaco is made from a wet multi stage foam filter with a silicone elbow and metal inlet air temperature bracket, the quality from the overall fit and finish is perfect.About the feeling of use - Very compact in it's design which frees up space for an oil cooler, however the positioning of this open air filter is less than perfect as it sits exposed to the environment but with this sacrifice also comes performance gains. Products to buy together - Another product to purchase when looking to further increase the performance on the Grom would be a lightweight flywheel, which allows for an increased throttle response.Difficulty of installation - The installation of the uni filter kit is a simple task that took 0.7 of an hour complete. Some mechanical aptitude and the use of basic hand tools is what is required to gain aceess, remove atleast the original inlet tube and secure the air filter kit to the throttle body.Cost performance and comparison with other products - I find the cost of all the products Kitaco sell to be on great value when compared to what most other companies sell their products and the uni filter kit is no differntAbout shipping and packaging - With there being no cost difference between sea freight and EMS for the uni filter kit, I chose EMS for an earlier arrive date. This bike, the MT10 , a new clutch cable was needed as the existing one was starting to fray. No point in waiting for it to actually snap so this needed replacing fast. After checking on Webike website, I found them to have an absolutely fantastic price, well less than half what they are in the UK from genuine Yamaha parts dealer. Unfortunately though, the Yamaha dealer in the UK could not give an estimate of when they would be able to get the parts needed. Not an issue with Webike. As these were part of a larger order with other MT10 parts, the shipping was brilliant, not expensive and not too cheap, express delivery is what I went for. From ordering all the different parts in the order to being delivered to my door was literally just 7 days. Including a weekend and the wait time for Webike to source the parts from the different manufacturers. How good is that. Upon receipt, the box was perfect and as Webike package all these very well indeed, nothing was damaged. There was also another layer of padding on top. What more can you ask for. The cable came in it's own Yamaha packet and was in perfect condition when it arrived. The lug was secure, the cable nicely lubricated so slide through the guide outer easily. Fitting is not difficult on an road bike as not really much gets in the way. Now the clutch feels a whole lot better. Happy days. A little bit of a service and new oil change including oil filter for this FZ1N. The filter was easy to find, it also fits a few different models so is readily available. The price was really good, and still better than could source locally for the same K&N part. As I always have more than one part in each order, the cost of shipping is really good. I generally use EMS Fast service as it gets to me very quickly and the tracking is full, I mean full as in every step of the journey. I know exactly when the order will be delivered, the delivery has always been on time. Every part in the order was well packaged as expected and the outer box was sealed on all sides so none of my smaller parts could escape. There is not really much to say about the finish of this oil filter as there is not really much you can see, the black paint is clean, the K&N logo is easily seen and the threaded part is super smooth. With this oil filter, I always like the fact you have a nut on the end so it is easy to tighten and loosen when needed. The seal is intact and no tears, rips of dinks. Nothing is bad with K&N oil filters at all. Never had any problems. The paint on the outer is really good and no runs or blemishes on it at all. The filter threaded on really easily and obviously, with any oil filter change, a small amount of oil on the end just to help seal. Fitted in no time at all and filled the oil in the engine. I wanted to purchase a new pinlock with a slight smoke filter with it. I did look at the genuine Arai ones but the smoke did not look that dark for what I wanted. Having previously purchased a yellow insert for this helmet, I decided I would try this brand again as the previous insert was excellent. It was not hard to find this visor insert as I already had it in my watch list. The price for this insert was a lot better value than the genuine Arai and as I said before, the smoke was a lot deeper and what I needed. With a couple of other parts in my basket, I got them all shipped using EMS. The order arrived in 7 days from being shipped, great courier service. The insert was kept nice and flat and was not damaged in any way during transit. The insert itself fits perfectly with the MAX VISION visor. The smoke is just right, not too light and not a black colour either. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and I might even try the photochromatic one next as the price is also excellent. Due to maintenance the bearings on the rear wheel needed replacing. Rather than go for aftermarket ones, we went for the genuine Yamaha ones. No point in messing around with poor fitting after market ones. The correct bearing part number was found using the help tools on Webike pages. The cost of the bearings was really good value. Better than I thought if I am honest. The old ones were not fully done with but there was slight movement so this was only going to get worse over time. With a few other parts for the bearing change and were all shipped together by EMS all arrived at my door in 7 days. Very well packaged and in perfect condition, Having already removed the old bearings, it was clear that these were going to fail very soon, compared to the new ones, the movement was a little clunky and ever so slightly notchy unlike the new ones which were silky smooth. The bearing are super clean and run really well. No complaints from me on that score. Fitting bearings you do need to take a little care. If you do not have an adequate drift then you could damage them before even the first ride. Luckily, I have a lot of tools to help with this and to get them fitted perfectly. One of the hanger pins on this bike was problematic and the cause was that someone had cross threaded it when they were doing some kind of maintenance. There was no simple and easy fix apart from just buying a new one. Simple as that. Finding the right pin was straight forward by checking Honda schematics. The schematics showed the right one and this was then searched for on Webike. Webike price was far better than I could source from my local Honda dealer. You do need 2 of these and even though one was perfectly ok, I decided to just buy 2 at this price. With a few other small parts, I had the entire order shipped using EMS. In just 7 days from being shipped, my order arrived. The pin hangers arrived in a the usual Honda packaging but also inside a bubble wrap envelope that Webike had provided. This meant the threaded sections would no get any damage during transit. The pin hangers a re very well machined and look to be top quality from Honda. The dimensions are the exact same as the one that is pretty good condition. The threaded sections are smooth and clean from any debris. Fitting is just a simple bolt in. The caliper is now fully supported and will continue to be until someone who has no business fixing bikes is concerned. Very pleased with this small purchase, thanks guys View Detail
