I installed this POSH AIS Cancel Plate on my Yamaha SR400 because I had an after market exhaust. The AIS (Air Induction System) causes air to be pumped into the exhaust system to detonate unused carbon emissions in the OEM exhaust's catalytic converter. Since I already replaced my OEM exhaust with an aftermarket slip on exhaust, I was getting a lot of unwanted "popping" noises whenever I was decelerating the bike or going down a steep hill.
