SP Takekawa's Arm is very thin (like Knife's back part) and puts a lot of strain on the PushBolt's head, so it's inevitable to replace it after a few years or tens of thousands of miles. It's a pretty low burden. I think the price is too high... Is this what it is?
About quality and texture, I can confirm that the quality is great and that a mixture of materials are used from aluminum alloy for the arm, to hard rubber for the wheel and stainless steel for the spacer and bolt. About the feeling of use, The original cam chain tensioner arm is thin and applies unnecessary pressure to the tensioner push rod head. The manufacture of the Takegawa cam chain tensioner arm has resolved all the flaws of the original Honda design as you can see in my photo. Products to buy together, More parts to support a longer life span engine would be ideal to add to your cart like the crankshaft bearing support also from Takegawa. Difficulty of installation, I can say the fitment of the cam chain tensioner arm for my installation was average due to engine cover and rotor removal required for access. Cost performance and comparison with other products, The pricing of the product is great. You receive a product made from quality materials that does away with the original part that can fail causing major problems. Priced similar to other reinforced cam chain tensioners but much higher then the original one. About shipping and packaging, My order was shipped within 48 hours of me placing the order and I received a few emails advising me of the status up until the order was dispatched. This reinforced cam chain tensioner arm from Special Parts Takegawa is a well designed replacement part which adds even more reliability to a great engine from Honda. The Honda OEM part that this replaced on my Honda Monkey 125 was pretty rubbish and if you are serious about your motorcycle this part should be on your list to upgrade asap. Design feature to note on the part from Special Parts Takegawa are the much larger foot that contacts the cam tensioner push rod which better distributes the force on the rubber head, the hole to assist in better lubrication of the pivot point and the removable wheel allowing replacement when the time comes for it. Upgrading the 125cc required some supporting mods and the reinforced cam chain tensioner arm is a must for a higher capacity and higher revving engine. this product from Special Parts Takegawa is a quality made item and fits like OEM. Installation was a little more then I usually do maintenance wise but with the right tools and some research was not too difficult.View Detail
The SP Takegawa REINFORCED CAMSHAFT CHAIN TENSIONER ARM (01-14-0007) is a must have for reliability. Fitting this part can only extend the life of the (rubber?) button on the top of the cam chain tensioner push rod. This rubber(?) button had deformed on my 2017 GROM after only ~25xx km. The Takegawa Tensioner Arm has a larger contact footprint on the push rod button which will increase the buttons life. The cool indexed and larger tension wheel along with a proper oil way drilled into the pivot on the Takegawa tensioner makes this part superior in every respect to the standard tensioner arm. Excellent quality fit and finish of the Takegawa part make the Honda tensioner look agricultural with it's large washer and bolt for it's pivot. Fitment requires basic skills and the correct tools.View Detail

About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the cam chain tensioner push rod head from SP Takegawa, made from a hard rubber with a similar feel if not the same as the Honda part and the dimensions are the same as the Honda part.About the feeling of use: SP Takegawa recommend using their cam chain tensioner push rod head over the ones other brands make from a harder material. I decided to follow their advice but will take a look at the part after a few thousand kms to see how it is wearing.Products to buy together: The SP Takegawa super cam chain tensioner would also be desirable to purchase along side the cam chain tensioner push rod head to complete the upgrade to your cam chain tensioner system as recommended by SP Takegawa.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about 10 minuted, removal of the tensioner push rod sealing bolt will allow the tensioner spring and tensioner push rod to fall from the engine. Swap out the tensioner push rod head and reinstall the removed parts followed by adding 4cc of oil to the tensioner rod oiler port. Not difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting a recommended performance parts from the SP Takegawa at only a small price increase over the Honda part and cheaper then the Kitaco part.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of super cam chain tensioner from SP Takegawa, the arm is machined from an aluminium alloy called duralumin making this part now strong but still light weightAbout the feeling of use: When removing the Honda cam chain tensioner you can see why this part is so frequently upgraded by Grom owners. The design of the SP Takegawa cam chain tensioner with it's larger contact patch and replaceable wheel is superior in every way.Products to buy together: The cam chain tensioner push rod head would also be desirable to purchase along side the cam chain tensioner. SP Takegawa sell their own version which they recommend over the harder material one that Kitaco, it is more like the Honda one.Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about one and a half hours. Removal of the left crankcase cover, flywheel and cam chain tensioner push rod is required. A little difficult to do.Cost performance and comparison with other products: Good costing as you are getting the best designed cam chain tensioner available for the Grom at the same pricing when compared to the Kitaco cam chain tensioner which in my opinion is just not as good in it's design.About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght was my perferred method of shipping due to the lower cost but currently unavailable due to Japan Post. However, when the handlebar was cut to the Left lock, it interfered with the interior cover next to the Meter, so the interior cover was cut away. I also purchased a 45° angled banjo adapter for the mesh hose to accommodate the tension of the mesh hose. ・NORMAL (Reserve integrated horizontal master) Impressions of No complaints on public roads. Familiar feel and very easy to handle. However, when the brake is set to "hard brake," the rate of increase in braking force relative to the input seems to decrease, and the brake becomes more forceful. Radipon (Reserve separate body portrait master) Impressions of It was totally different from what I expected, my expectation was that it would feel like a Rear brake… It is really a mild and easy-to-handle radipon. On public roads, it feels like NORMAL! I wonder if it's because NORMAL is the same NISSIN? But I felt the radipon effect from Breaking a little stronger, and It can be hung up to a hard brake without effort. I felt trust that this could stop.View Detail
