Great tool to do the final tightening of oil filters to spec. Also great for removing difficult filters and not having to resort to the screwdriver method.This is a great tool for the older . The cheap auto parts store sockets push off the filter when you insert the extension, so if you need to lean on it, it is an issue.I like this oil filter socket wrench because I can use a socket drive or a socket with it. I have another oil filter wrench that only lets me use a socket wrench drive. It protrudes down into the wrench too far and contacts the filter. This causes the wrench to want to lift up off the filter. Very frustrating. The KTC filter, however, will also allow me to use a socket , eliminating the problem of the wrench lifting off the filter. I highly recommend this filter wrench.
